Fairly early in Dublin, someone points out to me that the Irish Coins are a lot easier to keep straight than the English. You can't really see the relative sizes on that page, but they do mostly get bigger as they get worth more. We mostly get used to them pretty quickly, but there are still times when we'll fumble with the change, trying to figure out what's what.
