I still don’t have much personal to say about the bridge collapse. Even though it’s less than a mile from me, I haven’t been down to the site, and I don’t know anyone who was killed or injured.
Belated thanks to those who called or emailed to check on me.
- There are going to be Major traffic changes due to bridge collapse, and there’s a map [PDF format] from MN-DOT showing the detours. At least three of those are going to cause major snarls, and there are going to be minor snarls for me heading just about any direction from home, since I live so close to the bridge. Thankfully not so close that they had to evacuate me.

- As the strib says, People flock to the scene all night long just wanting to get a look, and I figure I can wait a little longer before going down for a gander.
